The Live Like Jake Foundation was created to raise awareness for drowning prevention and provide swim lesson scholarships to those who cannot afford them as well as provide financial and emotional support to families who have lost a loved one or have a child with critical care needs.

The Connor Cares Foundation was founded in memory of Connor Freed, a 5 year old boy who drowned. The Foundation's mission is to further the education and training of lifesaving personnel at all public and private pools; nation-wide set minimum standards of safety to reduce drownings; introduce legislation to promote uniformity in lifesaving techniques and reaction times at pools; promote a safety ratings system [1-5 stars] to identify deficiencies and provide parents and guardians a guide to the safety level of each pool.

In 2007, ISR established the Community of Caring in hopes that one day, no family would be denied the opportunity to learn the ISR Self-Rescue™ skills due to an inability to pay for lessons. Through partners ranging from individuals to major corporations and hospitals, in communities across the country, ISR has been fortunate enough to be able to provide lessons to hundreds of families who otherwise may not have been able to participate. We do not take a percentage of donations for management or “administrative fees.” We simply pair ISR Instructors with supporters and, ultimately, families in need of ISR lessons.

As parents, we want to teach our children that you turn a tragedy into something good, help others, and set a good example no matter what the circumstances. The “Birdie” Foundation provides ISR scholarships for children who may not have otherwise had the opportunity to go through ISR lessons for financial reasons. We are also proud to subsidize ISR Instructors by providing tuition sponsorships for their certification training.
